This is how S ended up at walmart, Wallahu Alam!
N had taken these shoes out for donations and these were by the door. Hubby was making a late-night-quick-trip to Walmart and S wanted to join him. (in her PJ's - well.. its walmart, c'mon) She rushed after him with whatever shoes she could find by the door. While shopping, S had a hard time catching up with hubby (no wonder!) and that's when the reason was discovered!!!

Play House for Kids
Kids had been after hubby and I to make them a play house. Finally the cardboard boxes came in and we got to work. They wanted a 'four bedroom' house but I could manage only two for now. We have plans for expansion soon. :)

A Poem by Ru, U and N
Before I eat, I say Bismillah,
After I eat, I say Alhamdulillah!
Look at the beautiful butterfly, MashaAlah,
Look at the baby, SubhanAllah!
Tomorrow, I'll go to school, InshaAllah,
May I use the pen, JazakAllah!
Composed by Ru, U & N

A wonderful surprise!!
This morning, hubby and I were fortunate enough to sleep in for a little bit while a huge surprise was awaiting us. When N gave us a nudge to announce that breakfast was on the table, we were left speechless! N had toasted the pancakes and layed down the table with all the toppings and fix'ins. She worked hard to replicate the IHOP environment where we visited just a couple of weeks ago. S had already settled down on her seat and started off with her pancakes that N had served her already. We were pleasantly surprised!!
Meanwhile, R took much pride in babysitting Z. He had managed to get her out of the crib safely and got her in the living room on her play mat. He entertained her and made sure that she is happy so mummy and abbu doesn't wake up. He also filled up her milk bottle and was done feeding her by the time we got out of bed.
We were so pleased!! But at the same time, we felt that they are growing up too fast too soon.( Human nature? Never satisfied, right ?)
What a beautiful way to kick off the day, Alhamdulillah! All credit goes to N and R (and of course S and Z for not ruining their surprise) ! JazakAllah for your thoughtfulness. We love you!!!

SQUIDLEES ???
Kids had Hot dogs for lunch and I finally attempted to make these 'squidlees' to see how the kids would react. They absolutely loved the idea and gobbled them down :)
And of course, some with cheese for R and myself !
UFO's
While I was cooking and kids wanted to do something fun, I told them to come up with some creativity. They used whatever stuff they could get their hands on and ended up making UFO's. Here are the pics:

More Foam Friends..
While N, R and S were over at Ru and U, with all the fun things they did, this was something that had to be journal-ed for their sweet memories to be cherished later..

A trash can that needed some TLC
And this Notebook was an Impromptu..
And since I cut up the fabric a little too much (another lame excuse), I thought this notebook could get a face lift too.. It had some company's name on it and was sitting in my drawer for the longest time..Not pretty enough to use then.... and too pretty to use now! N plans to gift it to that someone special! Keep your fingers crossed, it could be you!
The Nail clippers gets a Face-Lift!!
N, R and S spent the day at Ru and U yesterday and I finally found some time to color-code the nail cutters that I had been meaning to do in such a long while. Everyone prefers a different clipper in the family but they all look alike.. So here they are!
Yes, I know they are not different colors but what better excuse to put this cute fabric on them to differentiate them from one another??

German Artists: Illusionary paintings on Trailers
Chinese Proverb: When someone shares something of value with you, and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.
I am not sure if this was of any value or benefit to me, nevertheless I feel that I have an obligation to share it with you :D
A truck painted with the windshield facing the back and there has been a driver painted in the driver's seat looking back over his shoulder to appear like he is driving backwards. (Scary)
This one is of Pepsi cases and they are all stacked on the ceiling, and the bottom of the trailer is empty.
This one is an aquarium.
This is advertising Pringles-Hot & Spicy. The 'inside' of the trailer has the appearance of having been through a fire.
A Canvas Tote.
A Bookshelf with a post-it note.

N's Ladybug Project from KG
After U was finished with her Ladybug foamie, N reminded me of her project that she had done last year in her KG class. She scored a perfect 10 with +5 for her creativity :) Her teacher Mrs. C was awesome. She was her Science teacher this year and N & R both are hoping to have her next year too.
Fun Foam Creatures..
Today I made a BIG Blunder. We had a pretty late night yesterday (2:00am!!). This morning, got the kids all ready and picked up Ru and U and on the way to Lowes for the 'Build and Grow Clinic', I realized that we had reserved for next week instead of today. I announced it to the kids and got them mentally prepared that we could just try to attend today's session or go home and do some fun craft project.Either ways, they were excited. Lowes was a no-go! We explored around Lowes for a while and then got home. The kids started off on their foam creatures right away. Well, not right , right away but ..you know what I mean! Ofcourse they spent a good fifteen minutes deciding who wants what. And then, they started right away :)
Ru made a Froggie(she wanted the shark), U made a Ladybug, N settled for a turtle (she wanted the froggie), R was persistent for a Shark and S got her hands on the bunny. I must admit that they all worked it out between themselves and I did not have to intervene. Good Job guys!!

We learnt how to Weave today!!
We attended a weaving session hosted by 'Weavers of Orlando'. There was a neat story time for the kids and then they showed us how thread is made with different materials like raw cotton, silk, sheep wool and goat hair. After a very interesting hour of learning, we were given the opportunity to do a Kumihimo braid using 7 threads. It was super easy. Even S got the hang of it within a few minutes. Here are some pictures:
